My husband and I figured we had seen it all, done it all, and had become far too spoiled to appreciate the adventures of travel as we once had.

We could not have been more wrong.

My husband had family in Sicily, but never wanted to vacation there because he felt as if he had been there enough in his youth and had experienced it all. 

After speaking with Alyson at Cloud 10, she had us convinced that she could show us a Sicily that Stefano had never seen. 

Alyson and her team of Cloud 10 geniuses crafted a custom 10 day getaway that we are still talking about to this day. Each day was unique and more amazing than the one before. I could write for hours about our underground dinner in the caves at Don Serafino, or our day of sailing around the Bay of Siracusa, or our overnight stay at the Hotel Raya with its magnificent rooftop bar. Instead I am going to focus on just one day of our amazing journey which was my personal favorite:

Our 7th day blended into the 8th as a late night of dancing turned into the early morning. Day 8 began on the island of Panarea with a leisurely breakfast and a brief walk down to the port.

From there Stefano and I hopped on board our private yacht for a day of exploring the islands of Vulcano, Lipari and Salina. Each island had its own special charms and breathtaking views. Along the journey we would stop to swim, snorkel and relax in some of Sicily’s most scenic coves, which were only accessible by sea.
